In a LinkedIn report about the 2023 job trends in Singapore, two of the top 10 fastest-growing jobs were found in cybersecurity. Unsurprisingly, cyber attacks are on the rise, with the power to disrupt critical infrastructure, businesses, and governments. Therefore, more companies acknowledge the urgency to address unprecedented security risks that threaten economic growth and public trust.
More than 350 cybersecurity pioneers and business leaders are looking to up the cybersecurity ante this week by attending the Smart Cybersecurity Summit that will take place in Singapore on April 13. “The threat landscape is constantly evolving. The time is now to come together to bolster the cyber resiliency of our digital ecosystems,” said Dominic Pinfold, Group Event Director for Smart Cybersecurity Summit Singapore.
To give an idea of how pressing it is for companies in Singapore to address cybersecurity risks, according to Kroll’s APAC State of Incident Report, almost half of the businesses in the city-island experienced a cyber incident in 2022. The Smart Cybersecurity Summit is exclusively tailored for C-Levels and key decision-makers who can gain actionable advice from security specialists during the bespoke conference.
To top it off, tickets for the comfortable and premium atmosphere at Marina Bay Sands are complimentary. “Business leaders can gain actionable advice on implementing zero trust models, tackling the skills shortage, making returns on security investments, and more,” CloserStill Media said in a statement.
Visitors can expect expert-led sessions featuring Richard Wong, Senior VP at Frost & Sullivan; Veronica Tan, Director for the Safer Cyberspace Division at the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore; and Dr. Carrine Teoh Chooi, Chief Strategy Officer of Bond Holdings. The Summit is an exhibition and conference to make connections to advance business, exchange knowledge with fellow professionals, stay abreast of the latest developments, and discover ground-breaking solutions that will drive growth.
Among the leading cybersecurity solutions providers that will be present include BeyondTrust, Illumio, Palo Alto Networks, Proofpoint, SentinelOne, and StarHub. The Smart Cybersecurity Summit in Singapore is being held in the same month as two other invite-only Summits for Asia’s top C-level executives and senior decision-makers in conjunction with Tech Week Singapore 2023. The Retail Executive Summit and the brand-new Data & AI Leaders’ Summit will also take place at the exact location in April.
According to event organizer CloserStill Media, the Summits present unique opportunities for attendees to stay updated on the latest tech advancements, forge strategic partnerships, and discover cutting-edge solutions. “After a record-breaking year for Tech Week Singapore in 2022, there is no doubt that the appetite for knowledge sharing and networking is insatiable,” said Andy Kiwanuka, Managing Director for Asia Pacific at CloserStill Media.
“At Smart Cybersecurity Summit Singapore, you will benefit from actionable advice and form strategies with top-class specialists who have tackled cybercrime and fostered a security-aware workforce. This is your chance to explore critical topics, including zero trust, skills shortages, data sovereignty, DevSecOps, detection and response, and making returns on security investments,” the Summit website reads.
